How long have you been involved in adoptions?

More than 30 years

What made you decide to do social work?

I love reaching out to people and I care for the well being of people

What is the most challenging aspect of your work?

Assisting prospective adoption parents and guiding them in their decision towards adoption. Another thing is walking the road with birth parents during pregnancy and enabling them to make the best decision for their unborn child.

  1. Dear Hester, You were our contact as adoptive parents. We are aware of your role as intermediate and we still talk about you. Litlle things that you said makes a difference. You taught us the kid song, “stop sei die rood licht, rij sei die groen licht”. We plan to show our adoptive daughter her roots and in December we would to meet you.
